These terms govern the sale of goods through dpi.lk. By placing an order you accept them.

1. Who you are buying from

dpi.lk is operated by DIRECT PORT (PVT) LTD, trading as DPI Sri Lanka, of Bodirukkarama Road, Waragoda, Kelaniya 11600, Sri Lanka. We are an importer and retailer of Winning Star home appliances.

2. Products and prices

All prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees and include applicable taxes. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you confirm the order.

We describe products as accurately as we can and use the manufacturer’s specifications. Packaging and finish may change between production batches without notice. Prices and specifications may change at any time before an order is placed.

3. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A sale is concluded when we confirm the order and dispatch it. We may decline or cancel an order — and will refund anything already paid — if the item is out of stock, the price or description was wrong, we cannot reach you on the number given, or we suspect fraud.

Stock levels shown on the site come from our warehouse system and can change between the moment you add an item and the moment you pay.

4. Accounts

Accounts on this site are held against a mobile number. There is no password: signing in uses a one-time code sent by SMS to that number. Keep the number in your control — anyone holding the SIM can sign in and see your orders. Tell us at once if you lose the number so we can move your account.

5. Payment

We accept cash on delivery and bank transfer to our Nations Trust Bank account (branch Peradeniya, account title DIRECT PORT (PVT) LTD). Card and instalment payment methods are offered where shown at checkout, and are handled by the payment provider — we never see or store card numbers.

Bank transfer orders are held until payment clears. If a transfer receipt is not received within 3 working days we may release the stock and cancel the order.

6. Delivery

We deliver anywhere in Sri Lanka by courier. Colombo and suburbs Rs 350, elsewhere Rs 550, free on orders over Rs 10,000. Orders placed before 3pm on a working day leave our warehouse the same afternoon; courier delivery normally takes one to three days depending on the district.

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for courier delays outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Warranty

Winning Star appliances sold by us carry a 1-year limited replacement warranty from the date of purchase, covering internal hardware failure and manufacturing defects under normal household use. It excludes physical damage, liquid exposure, use on incorrect voltage, and units opened or modified outside our service point. Claims are made at warranty.dpi.lk or by contacting us with the order number.

8. Returns and refunds

Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Return Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Your information

What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: a name, one or two mobile numbers and a delivery address, used to fulfil the order and honour the warranty.

10. Using this site

You agree not to place fraudulent or speculative orders, interfere with the site, or copy our product photography and text for commercial use. Content on this site belongs to DIRECT PORT (PVT) LTD or its suppliers.

11. Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Sri Lanka, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Affairs Authority Act.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page when you place an order is the version that applies to it.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka and disputes fall to the courts of Sri Lanka. Talk to us first — most problems are settled with a phone call.
